Birgitt Williams works internationally with extraordinary leaders and businesses as a consultant, coach, mentor, workshop leader, and keynote speaker. Her values led work is based on The Genuine Contact Way, a holistic approach to business success. She is the author of The Genuine Contact Way eBook and is co-founder and president of Dalar International Consultancy, Inc.
She and Ward Williams are life partners and business partners, and have their headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. Together, as well as developing Dalar International Consultancy, Inc, they are co-creators of the Genuine Contact™ program that is now used by leaders, managers, and consultants in many countries. Several thousand people have been trained in this program, and some millions of people have benefitted from leadership work using this program in organizations and in multi-organizational meetings. In 2006, as the program went into greater use in more countries, Birgitt and Ward opened co-ownership of the Genuine Contact program to authorized Genuine Contact trainers in the world. This resulted in the formation of The Genuine Contact Co-owners Group, Inc. and Birgitt is excited and inspired by the journey of her work out into the world led through a co-leadership model. She is also deeply moved that the Genuine Contact Co-owners Group, Inc. leads itself and its stakeholder community of Genuine Contact professionals as a Genuine Contact Organization. Birgitt developed this organizational model over two decades in her quest to find an organizational model that valued people as precious and thus achieve extraordinary results.
Birgitt has worked in many countries with numerous individuals and types of organizations over the past two decades. She is most passionate about working in human services and is grateful that most of the work she has been privileged to carry out over the last 10 years has been for a number of International Development agencies in the field of maternal, child, newborn health, nutrition and survival. This work, its outcomes, and the extraordinary leaders and people she has worked with carry a special place in her heart of meaningful work well done.
Birgitt prepared for this work for over three decades including her undergraduate and graduate level studies in psychology in Canada, and in learning intensives in organizational development and organizational transformation in Canada and the USA. Birgitt discovered that this training was not sufficient in her quest to find ways of assisting leaders and their organizations so she sought learning from other professional disciplines to merge this learning with her professional knowledge to create a holistic approach to organizational success. The two professional disciplines that had the most impact on her were the healing arts and landscape architecture. Her work is also informed by her learning and experiences as a mother of four, step-mother of four, as a mother-in-law and now as a grandmother of an ever-expanding family. She has a number of published articles, book chapters and workbooks and has been cited in a number of books.
