Purpose of the Genuine Contact™ program
The purpose of the Genuine Contact program is to provide an effective and quick means to access the issues that need to be addressed in your organization, and the solutions that need to be implemented. Through its holistic approach, the Genuine Contact program was designed with simplicity in mind, using highly participative meetings as a catalyst to develop healthy and balanced organizations for successful, sustainable optimum effectiveness. Meeting methodologies were chosen that tap into the intellectual and intuitive wisdom of the individuals involved, and of the whole collective of stakeholders. Key ingredients were identified that needed to be in place to support the new or enhanced way of getting work done to support a solution focused organization.
The Genuine Contact program is also a program for building the skill and capacity within the organization to thrive in a world of constant change. It is designed to keep external consultant involvement to a minimum, providing training and mentoring work only so that working with change is led from within the organization. Through this program, we equip you with simple and practical ” how to” methods, processes, and key ingredients of achieving organizational health and balance that are duplicable throughout the organization. Purpose of The Genuine Contact Way
Following development of the Genuine Contact program and its use in various settings in various countries, leaders and consultants commented on a resultant sense of an approach, a power through self empowerment, and a way of living and working that emerged for them. In response to these comments and accompanying requests, co-founder of the Genuine Contact program Birgitt Williams authored a book The Genuine Contact Way, currently available only as an eBook. Previously, she had focused on the HOW of working from a holistic approach, co-authoring nine workbooks and offering training in the components of the Genuine Contact program in a number of countries. Despite being asked for a decade for the ‘book’ that would define this Genuine Contact way of working, she avoided undertaking this task until the Genuine Contact program had been in use for a decade. She did not want a book as a ‘how to manual’, with a firm conviction that the workbooks and workshops caused people to think deeply and align their actions with their own unique interpretations and styles. Her quest was to write a book in such a way that it described the five beliefs that underpin the Genuine Contact program and at the same time created questions for the reader to address without giving answers. As well, because she believes in working with different learning styles, she wanted a book that was a multi-sensory experience. The Genuine Contact Way Project developed to support the teachings in the book, with links from the eBook directly into a virtual home full of audio, visual, and text resources to enhance the learning experience. Music and art are included in the Genuine Contact Way Project to assist in the learning and the experience of this way of living and working.

Genuine Contact Co-owners Group, Inc
Anyone who becomes and authorized Trainer of the Genuine Contact program is eligible to become a Co-owner of the Genuine Contact™program. From its inception in 1999 until 2006, the Genuine Contact program was owned by its co-founders Birgitt Williams and Ward Williams. In 2006, Birgitt and Ward opened up Co-ownership of the Genuine Contact program to any authorized Genuine Contact trainer who was interested in joining them in co-ownership. Since that time, members of the Genuine Contact Co-owners Group, inc have come from a number of countries, participating with each other in on line forums to get business done as an international corporation, working co-creatively and collaboratively as a Genuine Contact Organization. A Leadership Management team is voted on from amongst the Co-owners. A Program Director supports this international co-operation.
