Wellness R(E)volution for Organizations” and other topics.

followed by a Large Group Methodology known as Open Space Technology
so that participants have maximum opportunity to work with the
ideas from the speech, making meaning of them for their work and
their lives. Real learning and real integration takes place when
this option is chosen that creates the space for inspiring conversations.
Birgitt's Speaking Topics Include:
* The Wellness (R)Evolution for Organizations
Birgitt Williams is passionate about the importance of healthy
and balanced organizations, not only for the success of the organizations
but also for the impact on the health of the individuals within
them.
According to Birgitt, two parties must work together to achieve
organizational health and balance. The first party is the organization
itself and the second party is the individuals within the organization.
If the organization is not committed to working on its health
and balance, or if the individuals within the organization are
not committed to working on their personal health and balance,
it is not possible to achieve and sustain a healthy and balanced
organization that is capable of optimal performance.
Birgitt offers a holistic approach to organizational health
and balance. As she goes over this approach with her audience,
she provides key questions that can be taken back to the organization
to be worked on, and she simple tools and frameworks that can
be taken away and put to immediate use.
* Leadership for Inspired Organizations requires Spiritual
Intelligence
Engaging Spirit at work to develop the in-spired organization
requires a Spiritual Intelligence in leaders. Birgitt challenges
her audience to understand leadership as a different competency
than management. She outlines the differences, asks challenging
questions, and brings her audience to a common agreement on what
leadership is. The questions are Socratic in nature, probing deeply
into the wisdom of the individuals in the audience in a way that
has a strong and lasting impact.
Following this exploration of leadership versus management competencies,
Birgitt takes her audience through an exploration of what is required
of leaders in today's complex environment that changes rapidly.
She explains that change management is an oxymoron.
Birgitt offers tools that the audience can take away to increase
their competency and capacity for what is required of leadership
today. These tools are simple, easy to duplicate throughout the
organization, and are effective. Her approach is holistic focusing
on the health and development of mind, body, spirit, and emotions.
Within this approach is the conscious development of aware Spiritual
Intelligence. She explains why Spiritual Intelligence is one of
the keys for successful leadership now and into the future.
* Women in Leadership
Birgitt took on the position of a CEO of a multi-service social
service when she was 31 years old, in 1986. Prior to her mandate
for this job, the former CEO's had all been men and all over 50
years of age. When Birgitt looked for female role models and mentors
in leadership positions in her community, she did not find any.
She was however, blessed with wonderful mentors, both male and
female, who cheered her on for bringing a new approach to leadership
and she really needed them to stay inspired and courageous. As
she attempted to change things, too often she was faced with barriers
because 'a man would not do it that way' and 'it has not been
done this way here before'.
Birgitt persevered with what she learned as feminine principles
for leadership in which she did indeed lead differently.
Birgitt speaks of the experience of being a female leader, of
what she learned, and of advice that she has for female leaders
today. Birgitt has received a number of awards for her loyal and
dedicated effort for women in the workplace.
Her story is inspiring and insightful. Birgitt is a skilled
storyteller, communicating deeply from the heart. As well as telling
the story, Birgitt challenges her audience with deep Socratic
questions, stirring learning that goes deep.
* Speaking Engagement, Part Two
Too often, members of an audience get deeply inspired by a speaker
but then don't have time to integrate the material for their use
to the extent that they would like to. There just doesn't seem
to be the time for key conversations about the material ‘back
at work’. This is a lost opportunity. Birgitt encourages
those who hire her to do a speaking engagement to consider a second
part to the engagement. Following the speech, Birgitt recommends
a large systems meeting methodology called Open Space Technology
be used to create a time, space and structure for conversations
to take place based on the items that came up for people during
the speech. This meeting takes 1⁄2 day and can include a
statement of commitments that people make as they take what they
learned into their organization and into their lives. Real and
deep and personal learning takes place this way. The organization
is more likely to experience real results from their investment
in having a speaker come in. Birgitt has international acclaim
as a skilled facilitator of an interactive meeting methodology
known as Open Space Technology.
* Integrative Facilitation following a Speaking Engagement
by another Speaker
Birgitt Williams is also available to lead these Open Space
Technology meetings following presentations by other speakers.
She has done with great success for clients in the past. For example,
in a two day conferences a speaker addressed the audience on Day
One and then an Open Space Technology meeting was facilitated
by Birgitt on Day Two as people worked with the materials of Day
One.
