The Train the Trainer workshop and Mentoring Circles have outgrown the current location at Dalar's facilities in Raleigh, North Carolina and so beginning in September 2008, the Train the Trainer workshop will be moving to a new location. Located in beautiful Virginia Beach, Virginia, the Association for Research and Enlightenment center (the A.R.E.) is the perfect place to hold the workshop and mentoring circles.
The new location is located in a 'transition zone' which is an important geographical setting for learning and increased intuitive wisdom. Transition zones are in geographic areas of change, such as Virginia Beach is in a transition zone from land to water. Further, according to the ‘sleeping prophet’ Edgar Cayce, the golden sands of Virginia Beach are ideal for healing, and lying on them is said to promote healing.
The A.R.E. provides an excellent conference facility complete with breakout spaces both indoors and across their campus. Outdoor spaces include tables under the sun, benches in stands of bamboo, and other tranquil spots. Organic lunches and snacks will be served daily. Other highlights of the campus and surrounding area include:
- The A.R.E. Massage & Day Spa Center - This center offers a variety of health services which emphasize the power of your spirit, mind, and body in improving health. They also offer health assessments and evaluations, which can be tailored to meet your individual needs.
- The A.R.E. Bookstore - The bookstore offers a wide variety of books and gifts.
- Labryinth and Meditation Gardens at A.R.E.
- Virginia Beach - Virginia Beach is world renowned for its golden sands, incredible dining, and exciting night life. Explore for an evening or take an extra few days at the beginning or end of the event for your own personal relaxation.
- City of Norfolk - Less than 15 miles away is historic Norfolk, VA, one of the USA's oldest cities and largest sea ports. Explore for an evening or take an extra few days at the beginning or end of the event for your own personal relaxation.
- First Landing State Park - Virginia's most visited state park, First Landing offers boating, swimming, Nature and History Programs, hiking, biking, picnicking, a boat launch, cabins, 19 miles of trails on 2,888 acres, a replica Indian village along Cape Henry Trail, and Native American exhibits in the trail center.
