Path to Organizational Health and Balance

$497.00

A holistic organizational development workshop for leaders and consultants in mission-driven organizations. You will leave with a practical framework for understanding your organization as a living system and a tailored plan for moving it toward greater health and balance. Online, May 7–8, 2026. Maximum 20 participants.

Most leaders in mission-driven organizations have already tried things – addressing how decisions get made, how communication flows, how people are recognized and supported. Some of those efforts have made a real difference. And yet the same tensions resurface, the same friction returns, and the gap between what the organization could be and what it actually is remains. When the people doing the work genuinely care about the mission, that gap carries a particular weight.

Path to Organizational Health and Balance offers a different starting point: not a diagnosis of what is wrong, but a framework for understanding what your organization needs in order to move toward health and balance. Rooted in the Genuine Contact Way of Working – a holistic, participatory approach to organizational development tested across six continents over 30 years – this workshop gives you practical tools for seeing your organization as a living system and a structured path for building a plan genuinely suited to your context.

What You Will Learn

A framework for seeing your organization whole You will develop the capacity to understand your organization as a living system – one whose parts are interdependent and whose health depends on balance across multiple dimensions. Rather than addressing symptoms in isolation, you will learn to ask what the whole system actually needs, and to identify the right kind of attention for each area before choosing an intervention. This shift – from diagnosing what is wrong to discerning what is needed – changes what becomes visible and what becomes possible.

Practical tools for organizational assessment You will learn and begin applying a simple diagnostic framework – the cleanse, balance, and nourish approach – for assessing what a leader, a leadership team, or a whole organization needs in order to move forward. You will develop a feel for how these tools work across different contexts before you use them to build your plan, so that you leave with both the framework and the confidence to apply it.

A plan built for a real context Drawing on your learning across all six phases of the workshop, you will construct a tailored plan for guiding a real organizational context through an initial exploration of health and balance. The plan takes into account whether you are working from inside an organization as a leader or manager, or from outside as a consultant or coach. You will also work through the questions you are likely to encounter when introducing this approach – developing your clarity and confidence in presenting and implementing your plan.

A practice of ongoing attention Organizational health and balance are not a destination. You will leave with a monitoring and adjustment checklist that supports ongoing attention to the areas you have identified – and a personal learning tracker you can return to as your practice develops over time. The goal is not a one-time assessment but a living process of continuous adjustment.

Clarity about your own worldview The lens through which you see organizations shapes every decision you make about them. One phase of this workshop is dedicated to examining your own worldview – the assumptions about people, organizations, and leadership that often go unquestioned – and considering what a meaningful shift toward a more holistic way of seeing would ask of you. This is not a detour from the practical work; it is the foundation it rests on.

Who This Serves

This workshop is designed for leaders and consultants in mission-driven organizations who sense that the challenge they are facing runs deeper than any single initiative can address. Participants typically include organizational leaders and managers who are responsible for people and results, coaches and consultants who want to develop a more integrated framework for supporting organizational change, and HR and OD professionals looking to move from symptom-level interventions to root-cause work. You do not need prior experience with the Genuine Contact Way to participate. If you are working with an organization – from the inside or the outside – and you want to understand what it actually needs in order to become healthier and more balanced, this workshop is designed for you.
