Most leaders who care about their organizations have already tried things. They have worked on how decisions get made, how communication flows, how people are recognized and supported. Some of those efforts have made a real difference – and yet, the gap between what the organization could be and what it actually is remains. The same tensions resurface. The same friction returns.
This is not a sign that something is fundamentally wrong with the organization or the people leading it. It is often a sign that attention has been going to symptoms rather than to the underlying conditions that keep generating them.
The conditions at work shape everything – how people work together, whether strategy translates into action, and whether the people doing that work can sustain it over time. This workshop gives you a framework for seeing those conditions clearly, and a practical path for working with them.
What You’ll Create
Through a six-phase learning journey built around a real organizational context you bring to the workshop, you will develop:
- A clear understanding of the Path to Organizational Health and Balance approach and the holistic philosophy that grounds it
- A practical diagnostic framework for identifying what an organization needs before choosing an intervention
- A tailored plan for guiding a real organizational context toward greater health and balance – designed for whether you are working from inside an organization or as an external coach or consultant
- A personal learning tracker and a monitoring and adjustment checklist you can return to as your practice develops
- Practical readiness for the questions leaders are likely to ask – so you can carry your plan forward with confidence
Why This Workshop Works
A framework built for the whole, not the parts: This approach treats organizations as living systems rather than machines to optimize. Rather than identifying what is broken and intervening in isolation, you learn to see the conditions shaping the whole – and to respond in a way that addresses what is actually generating the symptoms.
Practical from the first phase: You build your plan during the workshop, using a real organizational context you bring with you. You leave with something ready to put into practice – not a set of concepts to figure out how to apply later.
Designed to work whether you lead from inside or outside: The planning tools in this workshop serve organizational leaders and coaches and consultants who work with organizations from the outside. The guidance you receive takes your specific relationship to the organization into account.
A foundation that keeps developing: Access to peer-to-peer mentoring circles – facilitated by a Genuine Contact Trainer after the workshop – means your learning continues as you apply what you have built. A personal learning tracker gives you a structured way to monitor your own growth over time.

Who This Serves
This workshop is for leaders, coaches, consultants, and organizational development practitioners who:
- Sense that a more holistic approach to organizational health is needed and are ready for a structured entry point into that work
- Are responsible for the culture and performance of a team or organization and want to strengthen both
- Work with organizations through change and are looking for a practical framework they can begin applying right away
- Navigate conversations about engagement, capacity, and the gap between potential and results
- Want to understand what is generating familiar organizational problems – rather than addressing the symptoms one at a time
No prior experience with the Genuine Contact Way is required. This is an entry-level module – designed to meet you where you are, and to give you the foundation to decide whether a deeper commitment is right for you.
Your Facilitators
Birgitt Williams is the co-creator of the Genuine Contact Way of Working, with over four decades of experience in leadership development and organizational consulting. She brings a holistic framework grounded in the belief that every organization holds within it the blueprint for its own optimal health – and that the work is to learn to work with what is already present.
Rachel Bolton first encountered the Path to Organizational Health and Balance more than 20 years ago after leaving a job she had loved – driven out not by the work but by an unhealthy environment. That experience gave her a felt understanding of what it costs people when conditions at work are depleting, and what becomes possible when those conditions change. She has been an authorized Genuine Contact Trainer since 2002, with consulting experience across three continents.
Registration Closes August 2
To give everyone time to complete the pre-work before the first session, registration closes August 2, 2026.
