1. Introduction and Acceptance
Please read these Registration Terms & Conditions carefully before registering for a Dalar International Consultancy (Dalar) learning module. By completing registration and payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
These terms govern your registration for learning modules offered by Dalar. If you have questions about these terms, please contact us before registering.
2. Programs Available
Dalar offers learning modules in two formats:
- In-person at locations around the world
- Online via video conferencing platforms
Please refer to the sections below that apply to your specific learning module format. The registration page for your learning module may include additional terms and conditions specific to that program. Where program-specific terms differ from these general terms, the program-specific terms will take precedence.
Note: If you are registering for a learning module that Dalar is facilitating but that is being sponsored by another person or organization, your registration will take place through their website or according to their registration process. In these cases, the terms and conditions for registration will be set by that sponsoring person or organization, not by these terms.
3. General Terms Applicable to All Programs
3.1 Registration and Payment
Registration is not complete until full payment has been received. Dalar reserves the right to refuse admission if payment has not been received prior to the program start date.
Payment methods accepted:
- Credit card (via PayPal)
- PayPal account
- EMT (Electronic Money Transfer)
- Wire transfer
3.2 Substitutions
For both in-person and online learning modules, if you are unable to attend the program, you may send a substitute in your place – even at the last minute. Simply email us to inform us of the change. If a substitution is made, the new participant must have completed any prerequisite learning as defined on the learning module registration page.
3.3 Certificate of Completion
A certificate of completion is provided to all participants after the final day of real-time learning for in-person and online learning modules.
3.4 Digital Learning Materials
Digital learning materials are provided through an online Learning Hub and may include:
- Pre-recorded video tutorials (streaming and downloadable)
- Audio files
- PDF workbooks, articles, guides, and handouts
- JPG diagrams and visual illustrations
Your Rights: You may use these materials for your personal learning, learning retention, and learning application. You may keep digital copies on your computer, mobile device, or cloud storage for your own access and archive.
Access Period: You have 1 year from your program start date to access and download digital materials. After this period, access will be removed unless you maintain an active membership in the International Genuine Contact Organization. All learning materials are downloadable and we strongly encourage you to download copies for your records during your access period.
Restrictions: These materials are provided to you with the understanding that they will not be shared with others. All content remains the intellectual property of Dalar and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from these materials without express written permission.
3.5 Program Changes and Cancellations by Dalar
Dalar may cancel or postpone a learning module up to 21 days prior to the scheduled start date if there are insufficient registrants or due to circumstances beyond our control.
Circumstances beyond our control include but are not limited to: natural disasters, extreme weather events, pandemics, government restrictions or orders, acts of terrorism, war, civil unrest, labor disputes, facility unavailability, instructor illness or emergency, or any other events that make it impossible or impractical to conduct the program as scheduled.
If a program is postponed:
- The event will be rescheduled for the same location as soon as reasonably possible
- Participants will be notified promptly of new dates
- No compensation will be provided for any expenses incurred by registrants for travel, accommodations, or other personal expenses
- Participants may choose to attend the rescheduled program or request a refund according to the cancellation terms
If a program is cancelled and cannot be rescheduled:
- An 85% refund will be provided (15% fee retained for Learning Hub access)
- Participants will continue to have access to the digital learning materials provided according to the terms of this policy.
3.6 No-Show Policy
In fairness to all attendees, confirmed participants who do not cancel according to the refund policy outlined below and do not attend forfeit the entire registration fee.
3.7 Workshop Leadership
Workshop leadership consists of members from the Dalar International team, including Birgitt Williams and Rachel Bolton, as well as their Co-operation Partners. Workshop leadership for each individual learning module is listed on the program description page.
In the event of illness or emergency, Dalar reserves the right to provide a substitute leader from the Dalar team or Co-operation Partners, even at the last minute. All Co-operation Partners are authorized trainers of the Genuine Contact program.
4. In-Person Learning Module Specific Terms
4.1 Program Schedule
Unless otherwise indicated in the program description, the schedule for in-person learning modules is 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, based on the local time zone. If there are changes to this schedule, participants will be notified well in advance of the program date.
4.2 Location and Participant Responsibilities
Workshop locations for each learning module are noted on the program registration page. Registrants are responsible for arranging and paying for:
- Transportation to and from the workshop location
- Accommodations during the workshop
- All meals outside of program hours (breakfast and dinner)
4.3 What’s Included
In-person learning module registration includes:
- Workshop facilitation
- Printed workbook
- All required training materials
- Digital access to all materials via the Learning Hub (provided immediately upon registration)
- Lunch each program day
- Healthy snacks, water, tea, and coffee throughout the day
4.4 Refund Policy for In-Person Learning Modules
Refund policies for in-person learning modules are determined by the workshop sponsor and are listed on the workshop registration page for that specific program.
For small group residential workshops sponsored by Dalar: No refund is provided as spaces are limited. You may substitute another participant in your place (see Section 3.2).
4.5 Special Needs and Accessibility
If you have any dietary restrictions, allergies, special learning needs, or disabilities, please make note at the time of registration and provide guidance regarding the best ways to meet your needs. Everyone with special needs is unique, and asking for your guidance is the best way to work in partnership with you to provide the best learning experience.
Venue Accessibility: We endeavor to choose workshop locations that are accessible whenever possible. However, not all venues are fully accessible. If you have a mobility limitation that precludes your ability to climb stairs, please verify with us prior to registration that the venue is accessible for your needs.
Dietary Accommodations: We endeavor to meet the needs of those with dietary restrictions in our food preparation when advance notice is given at the time of registration. However, if you have severe allergies, please be aware that we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment or prevent cross-contamination in shared food preparation spaces. Please take appropriate precautions for your safety.
Scent-Free Policy: Our in-person learning modules are scent-free to support the well-being of people who have adverse reactions to scents. A significant number of people have scent sensitivities, including our workshop leaders.
Please come scented au naturel! Do not apply any synthetic products before coming to the learning module. This includes synthetic fragrances commonly found in skin lotions, deodorant, makeup, shampoo, hand creams, hair sprays, leave-in hair products, etc. Instead, choose products that are scent-free, scented with essential oils, or labeled “no synthetic fragrances.” Do not spray your clothes with air fresheners or fabric refreshers of any kind, including those labeled as “scent free.” Please avoid the use of artificially scented laundry detergent and dryer sheets.
Thank you for your conscientious cooperation! The workshop leaders will use scent-free products and do their best to ensure a scent-free space, recognizing that in some public venues this is challenging. If you are scent or chemical sensitive, please bring a filtering mask if you need it.
5. Online Learning Module Specific Terms
5.1 Program Schedule
Unless otherwise indicated in the program description, the schedule for online learning modules is 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Eastern Time. If there are changes to this schedule, participants will be notified well in advance of the program date.
5.2 Technology Requirements
Online learning modules are facilitated using a combination of Zoom for audio/video and Miro for digital whiteboard collaboration. Both can be accessed on Apple, Windows, and Android devices.
Recommended Setup:
- Device: Desktop or laptop computer (phones and tablets have limited functionality with both Zoom and Miro)
- Internet Speed: A minimum of 20 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is recommended for a smooth experience
- Software: Both apps can be used in web-based format without installing software. However, for a more seamless experience, you may wish to install the latest versions:
Technical Support: If you experience technical difficulties on the day of the learning module, contact the facilitators immediately to let them know. Contact information will be provided after registration.
Minimal technical support is provided during the workshop days. Both Zoom and Miro offer robust tutorials for using their software that can be accessed prior to a learning module’s real-time sessions. They also have technical support staff for troubleshooting issues beyond the support we can provide. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with both platforms before the program begins.

It is your responsibility to make digital materials available or print a copy to have on hand during the real-time workshop, based on your learning preferences.
5.4 Refund Policy for Online Learning Modules
Your program begins when you receive access to your digital Learning Hub. A full refund is available only if you cancel before receiving access credentials for the Learning Hub. After receiving access:
| Time of Cancellation | Refund Amount |
| At least 30 days prior to the learning module | 60% refund |

To cancel, email us at connect@dalarinternational.com with your cancellation request.
5.5 Special Learning Needs
If you have any special learning needs which we should be aware of, please make note at the time of registration and provide guidance regarding the best ways to meet your needs. Everyone with special needs is unique, and asking for your guidance is the best way to work in partnership with you to provide the best learning experience.
Alternative Formats: Digital learning materials are typically provided as streaming videos, downloadable audio and video files, and PDF documents. PDF materials are suitable for enlargement or viewing with specialty software. If you need materials provided in an alternative format to meet your learning needs, please contact us prior to registration with your request.

By registering for a learning module, you grant Dalar the right to use photographs or videos in which you may appear for promotional and educational purposes in connection with Dalar programs. This includes use on our website, social media, marketing materials, and educational content.

Dalar is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses, even if Dalar has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Dalar is not responsible for:
- Travel expenses, accommodation costs, or other personal expenses incurred in connection with a learning module
- Technical difficulties or internet connectivity issues during online learning modules
- Lost or stolen personal property at in-person learning modules
- Injuries or health issues that occur during your participation, except where caused by Dalar’s negligence

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or your registration will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
10. General Provisions
10.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with any program-specific terms listed on the registration page for your learning module, constitute the entire agreement between you and Dalar regarding your registration and supersede all prior discussions, negotiations, and agreements.
10.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
